GETTING STARTED · FIRST WEEK OF SALES
Use the first seven days of online sales to check your daily operations: are orders reaching the right people, is the information accurate, and can customers easily find answers? The first goal is a reliable process, followed by improving it.
Adapt the suggested schedule to your business and store traffic. You do not have to wait for a specific day to resolve an issue that affects purchasing or delivery.
Go through the guide
Check the public storefront, prices, availability, and contact details. Confirm that the people responsible for orders have access to the administration and receive the expected notifications.
Review each new order according to the agreed procedure. Check the payment, item availability, and delivery method separately. Do not rely solely on email if the administration is intended to be the place for tracking orders.
Compare availability in the store with the actual stock. Check the products customers ask about and supplement descriptions with missing information.
Go through the process from receipt to preparation and delivery. Determine who updates the status, who communicates with the customer, and how an unavailable product is handled. If orders arrive through an integration, monitor that part of the transfer as well.
Product and catalog management · Order processing and customers
Collect recurring questions about products, payment methods, delivery, and pickup. Check whether customers can find this information before placing an order.
Check how important pages are displayed on mobile devices and the links in active promotional posts. Align marketing activities with available products and fulfillment readiness. If you change a key purchasing setting, check the result after the change.
Review the number of received, processed, and canceled orders, as well as the reasons for any difficulties. Use visits and other metrics if you have tracking available and properly configured.
Record the products that attract inquiries, recurring obstacles, and the steps where your team spends the most time. The first few days are not enough to draw a final conclusion about sales potential; observe the quality of the process as well.
If you notice an issue that could affect multiple customers, report it immediately. Combine smaller improvements into an agreed priority list for the next review with the Connect team.
Check whether a purchase can be completed properly, whether key products are available, and which customer acquisition activities have been launched. Review the available data with the Connect team before drawing conclusions about the cause.
First, record the specific problem and the expected impact of the change. Prioritize errors and purchasing obstacles, and agree on broader changes based on the findings.
